Eireannmada Emily Bronte - Irish Setter
(photo at 16 weeks old) owned by junior member Laura Billing

At 9 months old this beautiful puppy fell from a cliff and received near fatal injuries, when her family first visited her they feared the worst. With fractures to her skull, neck and ribs and severe damage to her left front leg, to their utter amazement she raised her paw to shake hands and wagged her tail. She was walking just 12 days later and despite her phenomenal progress, unfortunately 8 weeks later her leg was amputated. Three months after her accident she returned to Blue Mountains Dog Training on a graduation night and passed with flying colours and then entered her first encouragement level Trial.
In 2005 she proudly marched with three legs, joining Club members and their dogs at the Rhododendron Festival Parade, it was a beautiful sight!
